The Women’s Health Unit promotes health and wellness for women of reproductive age through its Prenatal and Family Planning programs. In addition to administering Prenatal Plus, Nurse Home Visitor, and Family Planning programs, the Women’s Health Unit is an integral component of the Maternal and Child Health block grant program, and works on projects relating to smoking cessation, prenatal weight gain, postpartum depression and gestational diabetes.
